Francisco Cordero
Alot of people have said that Fransisco Cordero did a bad job as a closer last year - not true. He had 37 saves and 79 strikeouts in 69.0 innings pitched for a team that has never gotten to the world series. And his ERA was only 3.39, not bad. i say he is a solid choice in the middle rounds of any Fantasy Baseball draft.

Alfonso Soriano
The Soriano trade was an OK move for both teams. It helped the Nationals by giving them much needed offense. That also makes their closer a better option then last year and he did great with the MLB leading 47 saves. also very strong ERA (1.82) and WHIP (0.97). Based on his numbers he can be among the best closers in '06.

The other side of the trade is not so great though... If the Rangers really needed an outfielder i could see them getting Wilkerson, other fielder and a pitcher for Sori, which they did. they still have a few great batters in their lineup. i guess i'm saying that Mark Teixiera and and Mike Young can power the team through still - without Soriano.
